г.   Relay 4th of January 2006 Today, on the 4th of January, Men Relay opened fourth biathlon World Cup stage. Russian squad consisted of Sergei Rozhkov, Pavel Rostovtsev, Ivan Tcherezov and Nikolay Kruglov. As our men top the World Cup Relay Score at the moment our squad started with number one on their bibs. Sergei Rozhkov performed on the first leg. Because of the two errors both in prone and standing stance he passed the baton to Pavel Rostovtsev ranking 5th and 16,6 seconds behind the leader of the race at that moment Ondrej Moravec (Czech Republic). On the second leg Russia was presented by Pavel Rostovtsev. Shooting flawlessly in the prone position and having one error in the standing stance he became the leader of the race. When Ivan Tcherezov started his leg he was 3,2 seconds ahead of his followers. Ivan Tcherezov leads during all third leg. At the 0,9 km intermediate his lead was already 7,0 seconds. By 1,9 km intermediate it improved to 8,2 seconds. Shooting perfect in the prone he stays ahead of his pursuers with 6,6 seconds lead. 3,4 km intermediate – Ivan’s lead is now 7, 6 seconds; 4,4 km intermediate – 16,0 seconds. Ivan was faultless in the standing stance as well and his lead reaches 19,5 seconds. To the 5,9 km intermediate it slightly shortens by 14,3 seconds and when passing the baton to Nikolay Kruglov – 12,9 seconds. On his leg Ivan showed best shooting time in the standing stance of 33,0 seconds. And the best overall shooting time, which was 1:04,0 minutes. On the last leg Nikolay Kruglov had three misses during each shooting session. Finally Russian squad won silver medals. Gold went to German squad: Ricco Gross, Alexander Wolf, Sven Fischer and Michael Greis. Bronze medals won Belarus team: Alexei Aidarov, Sergei Novikov,. Vladimir Dratchev and Oleg Ryzhenkov.
