г.   Relay Today Russian squad consisted of Philipp Shulman, Ivan Tcherezov, Pavel Rostovtsev and Nikolay Kruglov ranked 2nd at the end and won silver medals in the Relay. Philipp Shulman shot clean during his prone position but standing stance brought him three misses so he had to use three spares. When Tcherezov carried on the race he was only 9th and 21,6 seconds behind the leader of the first stage – French team. Ivan Tcherezov ranked 7th at the first intermediate of the second stage (1,4 km) and had minimized the deficit from Frenchmen Raphael Poiree by 13,9 seconds. To the prone shooting Ivan Tcherezov came already in 5th position. After one miss and one spare Ivan continued the race with 5th rank 17,8 seconds behind the new leader Sergei Novikov (Belarus). Intermediate 3,9 km: Ivan still ranked 5th, but the gap had already become 7,4 seconds. Second shooting also provided Ivan with one miss. But Ivan ranked 2nd and the gap from Raphael Poiree, who again became the leader, was 10.4 seconds. Last intermediate: Ivan ranked second 12,8 seconds behind. When he finished his stage Pavel Rostovtsev continued in the 2nd place with the same gap of 12,8 seconds. On his leg Ivan showed best course time of 17:07,6 minutes. Pavel Rostovtsev shot flawlessly in his prone and that afforded him to become one of the leaders of the race and even despite his error in the standing stance he stayed 1st. Nikolay Kruglov continued the race in the first rank 33,3 seconds ahead of Norwegian squad. Nikolay Kruglov shot flawlessly during both of his shooting sessions and first intermediate after last shooting showed that he was 25 seconds ahead of his closest follower Ole Einar Bjoerndalen. Unfortunately this gap wasn’t enough to win. Gold went to Norway. Nikolay Kruglov finally ranked 2nd – Russian squad won silver. France ranked third.
